From Prisoner to Pastor

;

In 1989, at 24 years old, David C. Hairabedian conspired to steal a jet airplane to import drugs for the Columbian cartel. As a result, he spent the next 20 years incarcerated in the U.S. Federal Prison System. At age 26, while in a dirty prison cell inside the super-max building at Leavenworth Penitentiary, David experienced a visitation from the Lord calling him to deep repentance, salvation and also into the ministry. David responded to this call and his life has never been the same since.

The vision David received inspired the founding of Heart of America Prison Ministries, a ministry that provides first quality leather-bound study Bibles, Christian resource materials and a discipleship newsletter to those

behind bars. Heart currently serves approximately 5,000 inmates in more than 800 facilities nationwide. David is a regular contributor to its newsletter.

Being in prison gave David a lot of time to go to deep into the Word, and understanding the richness of its messages. He has authored more than thirty teachings, booklets, and tracts. He has also received his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Zoe University and an associates paralegal degree. He is currently finishing up his degree in international business and is bilingual in Spanish.

Since his release in 2008, David has transitioned to taking his ministry to the Body of Christ by speaking, sharing his story and helping build the resources for HEART of America Prison Ministries. His heart and his goal is that people see and come to know Jesus.

David Hairabedian Ministries supports and works in conjunction with Heart of America Prison Ministries, that puts leather bound bibles in the hands of prisoners. Through David’s story we hope you will be inspired to help support their mission, “Changing Lives…One Bible at a time.

Not only has David reached thousands of prisoners, he was awarded the 2011 Hope Heroes award in Kansas City.

About Us

;

David is the Senior Leader of Eagle Heart Fellowship in Independence, Missouri. His heart’s desire is to help people discover their God-given calling and purpose as they are drawn into a love-relationship with Jesus.  David is first a teacher, and then a preacher of God’s Word.  Subscribers from around the world tune into his YouTube channel to see updated weekly video feeds.   David speaks in churches around the country. Pastors hosting David commonly report transformations in their congregations through his revelatory teaching gift and through the demonstration of God’s Spirit and tangible power in these services.

During these gatherings it is common that the “presence of the Lord to heal” descends on the congregation and a spontaneous “healing school”  break out at the close of most teaching sessions. The Holy Spirit will direct David to minister the first healing, and then Believers, young and old, are called forward to lay hands on the sick with immediate results!  Church kids are transformed into Kingdom kids, leaving empowered with faith and fresh experience knowing the Lord can work through them wherever they go, as Jesus promised (Mark 16:17-18).

David has studied the Bible, theology and apologetics, for more than 20 years.  He has authored more than 30 teachings, booklets and tracts.  His e-booklet teachings are on Kindle, and audio and video resource materials can be obtained through the shop link. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, a Paralegal Degree, a background in International Business, and is also bilingual in Spanish. David received the 2011 Hope Heroes award in Kansas City, Missouri, in acknowledgement for his works.

David is also the Chief Visionary Officer for HEART of America Prison Ministries,  a ministry which provides leather-bound study Bibles, discipleship teachings and individually handwritten Christmas cards to more than 7,000 behind bars. HEART currently serves inmates in more than 1,000 facilities. David’s teachings reach thousands of prisoners, and he helps raise financial support to further the vision the Lord gave him to, “Help Change lives…One Bible at a Time!”
